December Daily - December 23

Wow. There's actually something Brigham Young said that I can agree with.  ;) 

Do you hang stockings? Does your stocking have special meaning?  My mom made my stocking 29 years ago (she put the date on it). I made Brad's stocking while we were dating.

Photo:  Stockings (hung up or close-up of details)   Here are the kids' stockings - as you can see (a) Harrison's portrait still needs to be framed (b) Mine and Brad's stockings aren't hung up (never are) (c) I never got my mantle decorated for Christmas because someone in my house said, "I'm not getting the boxes out of the attic" and it's that person's job - so...no mantle decorations. 

Our "do" for today:  We're supposed to go look at Christmas lights tonight but...I'm not sure that's going to happen.  I am, however, about to get my sewing machine out and we're making paper bag albums for the kids if they get their bedroom cleaned up.  Finally!!!

Remember:  What traditions do you have relating to stockings?  What normally goes in them? Anything unexpected?   We don't really have any traditions, per se,  relating to stockings.  We put small gifties in them - always a package of tissues, some candy, some lip balm, a notepad, and a pen or pencil.   I don't think there's ever been anything unexpected in the stockings.
