December Daily - December 18

This is the December 18 assignment from the Holidays in Hand class I took from Jessica Sprague.

I heard the bells on Christmas Day. Their old, familiar carols play. And wild and sweet the words repeat of peace on Earth, good-will to men.  ~ Longfellow

Write about the idea of "good will" and its significance at the holidays.  To me, the "good will" of the holiday season is the "good will of God" toward mankind through the birth of His Son. Plain and simple.

Photograph something that exemplifies the idea of good will or giving.  Hmmm...I'll have to think on that one and share it later, perhaps

It's another "no daddy day" in our house; however, yesterday we got a great gift from some friends - "A Charlie Brown Christmas Game" and we're going to let that be our "do" today.  We are going to play it.  Looking forward to it!!   I'm going to start working on Annie's birthday cake so that's our/my "make' today.

Remember: Recall a time when you felt what you'd call "the spirit of the holidays."   The year I made everything...while I worked full-time and prepared for the Y2K doomsday! :)  Had such a great Christmas that year.  Would love to be able to get back to that again and we're going to start toward that end in January resuming our Family Craft Days.  Can't wait!!
