This is the December 19 assignment from the Holidays in Hand class I took from Jessica Sprague.
Christmas gift suggestions: To your enemy, forgiveness. To an opponent, tolerance. To a friend, your heart. To a customer, service. To all, charity. To every child, a good example. To yourself, respect. ~Oren Arnold
Photo of the day - my "item" on display. My Frosty Friends ornament isn't on the tree this year - after putting the kids ornaments on the tree, I wasn't left with much space (I didn't have as much tree to decorate this year...had to leave the bottom third pretty much empty). However, Grandma Egg's ornaments are on the tree and I'm having a hard time photographing them. I'll try later today with natural light coming in the window.
We're finishing up getting ready for Annie's birthday party tomorrow and have to run out to my parents' house to drop off some stuff. While out there, we're going to get the ornaments for the tree in Harrison's room and we'll decorate it tonight - the girls did their trees last night. It should be fun!
Recall a specific instance in connection with your inherited item. What makes it significant to you? My husband loves seeing his grandmother's ornaments on the tree. I can only hope that when the time comes, my children will love seeing ornaments their grandfather painted on their trees - as my mother-in-law has recently given me some balsa wood ornaments that my father-in-law painted. They're not fancy, but that's what is so great about them. :)
