One is the best number

I am pleased to report that I am back to having only one child in diapers! We had four months of two in diapers, though I've done longer stints of that. I've had as many as three in diapers; one of those three was only in diapers when she had a BM, so I'm not sure if that really counts - well, yes it does, because I was BUYING diapers for three kids.

Annie is potty-trained. We've been working on it for a month or so. She would go through phases where she wouldn't want to wear a diaper - and oh, let's not insult her by suggesting training pants and rubber pants - no, she wanted what her sister's wore. There were days that I thought, "If she pees on my floor or the carpet one. more. time. I am going to lose it!" And just as I complained aloud to online playgroup moms - she stopped. It clicked! I think that's the key - we can't train them before they are ready. Before that, we are trained - not them. She's been dry at night. She gets up every morning and goes straight to the restroom. She stays dry all day. We aren't even having the BM struggle that I had with my first!

But still, I have about three more years of diapers and maybe more - I've heard boys take longer to get it. We'll see.
