Just a little disappointed

I've been going to a study on Wednesday nights on kindness. I had high hopes for this study even though I knew it wasn't going to be in-depth because it is only for four weeks and we weren't required to buy the book. However, I have to say I'm really disappointed in it. I think I had hoped that I would be challenged to change my thinking and change my attitudes and actions. I'm finding that based on the way things have been presented, that's not happening. The women teaching the class are having to cram three chapters worth of information into a one-hour lecture. It seems rushed. It isn't the fault of the teachers - they weren't given much choice from what I can gather. While I appreciate the fact that they want to have a short summer study, I think it would be better to choose material that lends itself more easily and suitably to a short summer study (perhaps something like John MacArthur's 4-chapter study God's High Calling for Women, which we did about 10 years ago). The Law of Kindness isn't it.

I've decided I'm going to buy the book and read it in my own time. I think our Care Group may be doing it after we finish A Heart for Home which was written by one of our church members and is a wonderful tool for homemaking/planning/organization and has been an encouragement for me when and where I really needed it.
