Christmas Card Photo Reject #1 and other Miscellany

And here we have Christmas Card Photo Reject #1. Elizabeth's backside is missing (that's Annie on the left and Nin on the right). If E's backside *were* there, I would be sorely tempted to use this picture! One of these days people are going to get a photo of my kids acting like they usually do and I'm going to say "Merry Christmas. Welcome to our life!"

I just realized I missed who got kicked off Top Chef tonight - both times it was on! It's not like it won't air a million times over the next week -- but still.

Annie. Oh. My. Goodness. This child is THE cutest thing since...well, since Katherine! She's started playing peek-a-boo where she'll cover her own eyes (or forehead, or cheek, or the top of her head) and when you say "Where's Annie?" she'll throw her hands away from whatever she's covering and just giggle as loud as she can. It's just too stinkin' cute! She's suddenly become the happy, giggly baby and it's definitely the sunshine I need right now.

Someone asked about me getting to video my sections - yes, because I deliver in a teaching hospital we can. Other hospitals in the city have barred video cameras (and I think even barred still cameras) in the delivery room and OR; but not where I deliver. My OB's APN said, "Yes you can tape it, just tell him you're bringing the camera. He would love for you to tape it." We have pictures of Elizabeth, Katherine and Annie still mostly inside me. And I think we have one of each of them, still at least partly inside me and each one is just screaming. When Paul was pushing on me to get Katherine out he looked at Brad and said, "Dude, you're supposed to be taking pictures now! Gina, he's too nervous about this one. He's forgetting to take pictures." He got some great shots then; he got some great ones when Annie was born, too (should have, he took 200 during the 2½ days we were in the hospital).

Thanks for the comment! :) It encouraged me greatly this morning! This is not my first m/c so I can totally relate to you on "if it hadn't happened, we wouldn't have [insert name of next child, in my case, Hailey]"

The 2 week wait begins any moment over here. ;)
