Young children and a decluttered house do not go together

My sister and her two boys came over for a few hours this afternoon. I've slowly been swallowed by the crap all over my house, the endless laundry, and the piles of stuff that I've had neither time nor energy to deal with. Having her here forced me to deal with it.

People can now dine at my dining room table - and not only can they dine at it; but the vintage, cross-stitched, linen table cloth (needleart by my mother-in-law) has been crisply pressed and it covers the table. Several other things were done but I'll spare you the details.

Annie is laying in her bassinet sucking on a pacifier. Will she be my first paci kid? I'd rather avoid it if I can.

Expecting winter weather all weekend and it is supposed to be pretty bad. I went to Wal-Mart last night since we only had four pieces of bread. There was no bread to be had in the store - uh-oh. Since it was 10:30p.m., I hoped they'd restock while I was grabbing a few other things I needed. As I was on my way to the checkout, there was a huge rack with Wonder Kids on it (white bread with the fiber of whole wheat, added calcium). I didn't care if it was $5 a loaf, I was buying it and since the rack was two-thirds empty, I gathered I wasn't the only person who felt that way. Grabbed two loaves and headed to the check out.

I hate snow. I'm with my friend, Robin, on this one. I hate snow.

Speaking of Robin, she made me look at this - and now I'll be saving my pennies to buy Jen Wilson's Spring Decor Collection. I want the whole thing. Oh my, I love it.
