Friday night at the Egg house

Brad is at a NBA-D League game, Nin and Elizabeth are asleep (E in my bed). Annie is nursing. I've done a RAKS chat, scrapped a page, folded two loads of laundry and decided I should probably blog.

Annie gave Wendy a huge grin yesterday morning at Women's Club. She was so darn cute when she did it. Wendy was very sweet and seemed excited to be bestowed that precious smile. So now Annie has smiled at Elizabeth and Wendy...I've gotten one of those "Mmm, I might smile...maybe...nah" little faces but no real smile yet. Wendy is expecting her 3rd boy, Ethan, in early March. I can't wait to see him - I know he'll be precious!

Tracy tagged me to answer these questions - this should be interesting!

WHAT WERE YOU DOING 10 YEARS AGO? Hmm, 1996 - Celebrating my 6th wedding anniversary, working at the hospital and traveling to El Dorado and Hope at least once a month as the Physician Management I.T. Specialist. I liked my job a lot - just hated my paycheck based on how much I worked.

WHAT WERE YOU DOING 1 YEAR AGO? Mothering two little girls and loving it. Learning more about digital scrapbooking and starting to create my own elements. Had just started Women's Club at FBC and was really enjoying that.

5 FAVORITE SNACKS: Graham Crackers & low-fat cream cheese; fruit; yogurt; yogurt covered granola bars; homemade chocolate chip cookies

5 SONGS TO WHICH YOU KNOW ALL THE LYRICS: "Making Memories of Us" by Keith Urban; "Blessed" by Martina McBride; "She's My Kind of Rain" by Tim McGraw; "I Could Not Ask for More" by Edwin McCain; "I Am Not Alone" by J. Todd Murray (you can download the MP3 of this song)

5 BAD HABITS: Trying to do too much at one time; not saying "No"; being passive agressive; complaining about my blessings; not getting enough sleep

5 THINGS YOU LIKE DOING: nursing my baby; snuggling with my big girls; reading; various hobbies; and um...well...I'll just smile and let you guess the last one

5 THINGS YOU WOULD NEVER BUY, WEAR OR GET AGAIN: This one is interesting! Cropper Hopper; that $6.43 cent Disney Princess watch E wanted; the Birthday Hat that no one wears and we always forget to take to parties; a bunch of different Hallmark Christmas Ornaments (Hank Aaron?! What was I thinking?); Cheese Tortellini in Meat Sauce from Super Suppers - yuck

5 FAVORITE TOYS: Call me hokey, but I love my girls' Little People stuff; and Peek-a-Blocks, love those, too; now for *my* toys I love my computer, my Digital Rebel and those little 94¢ scrapbooks from Wal-Mart

5 TAGS: oh man...do I even know five people who blog and don't already have these questions answered? Off to see if I do

And Tracy added these questions for those of us who scrapbook...
WHAT SCRAPBOOKING PRODUCTS DO YOU DISLIKE? Dislike? How about things I'm apathetic about - I really don't care one way or the other - bottle caps, slide mounts, hinges

WHAT IS THE HARDEST THING YOU'VE EVER HAD TO SCRAP? I haven't scrapped it yet, but I'm sure at some point I'll at least be journaling about my miscarriage.

WHAT TECHNIQUE DO YOU USE MORE THAN ANY OTHER? With both paper and digital scrapbooking - I use sketches a lot.

EVER BEEN PUBLISHED? No. Have submitted, though.

WHAT IS THE SMALLEST SCRAP OF PAPER YOU SAVE? Saving scraps is really hard for me! It really depends on what kind of mood I'm in but usually if it is less than 3" long or less than 1" wide, it's going to the trash can.

EVER HAD ANY SCRAPBOOK-RELATED INJURIES? I hurt my back lifting my scrapping stuff in and out of my trunk when I was pregnant with Annie. Got in big trouble for that.

FINISH THIS SENTENCE: "IF I WASN'T A SCRAPBOOKER, I WOULD SPEND MY MONEY ON... cross-stitch stuff, exactly what I spent it on before I was a scrapbooker!

GIVE US YOUR BEST STORAGE OR ORGANIZATIONAL IDEA: digital: keep a folder for each designer and keep the kits in their own folders inside the designers' folders. Paper: get 1-gallon zipper bags to keep scraps sorted by color

YOU JUST WON A WEEK-LONG SCRAPPING CRUISE FOR 4. WHO IS GOING WITH YOU? Oh, not fair. There's no way I could choose just 4 people. I know way too many people who scrap. I'd have to find a way to take them all!
