Itty Bitty Egg

This is the Valentine I did for family and friends. The background is Dana Zarling's paper pack freebie Lovingly Yours and the background style is scraplifted from her preview - I loved the way it looked and decided, why try to improve on that? I used it for the background of the Valentine. The font is Love by Rob Leuschke He has some incredible fonts. I love how the photos capture each of the girls' personalities - Elizabeth, the Princess; Katherine, the Rock Star; and Annie, the Baby. They're so cute.

Annie and I both had doctor's appointments today. Lovely.

She had her 2-month well-baby visit - which meant shots. She weighs 9lbs 8oz (up an ounce in 10 days). She's 21.25 inches long. She's in the 20th percentile for weight and between 15-20th for length. To quote Dr. Kennedy, "She's not the biggest baby out there." Due to her reflux issues he wants us to go back in two weeks for a weight check to make certain she's gaining like she should be. If she's not, then we'll adjust medicine - and may change what we're giving her. Everything else is wonderful and she's meeting the milestones she should be at this point. He's impressed that I have yet another baby who likes to sleep. As a matter of fact, she's laying on me, in the Maya Wrap Sling, asleep as I type.

After shots were administered, we had five minutes to get to my OB appointment about half a block away. Time for the lovely post-partum exam. I didn't hurry too much because he's always running behind. My blood pressure was high, but when I told the nurse we'd just left Annie's 2 month appointment and she had shots, she said, "Ah, that explains it. I'll be sure to tell him that." And...drum roll...I now weigh ten pounds less than I did when Annie was conceived. Can I get a HALLELUJAH?! Three more pounds to go before I'm back to my pre-Katherine weight. (I'd have to *gain* 35 to be at my pre-Elizabeth weight) He said we could have another one if we wanted to do so, just as I imagined he would - he has six kids, do you really think he's going to tell me to stop?! He said each c-section would get more difficult and recovery would be more difficult - but as long as my uterus was okay, I could keep having babies. And he said my uterus was handling pregnancy "beautifully". Mary Grace, Mary Grace, Mary Grace...I really like that name. (Rebecca, if you're reading this - shoot me now, girlfriend!!!). My OB cracks me up - we talked about buying stuff for our girls and how you walk in Baby Gap "One rack of jeans in six sizes for the boys, the rest of the store? Girl stuff. I love shopping for girl stuff." Yes, a man said that. I'd love to see the big feather fan he bought for his oldest daughter (she's six) - he said she sleeps with it and it is hideous but she loves it because it's prissy and because her Daddy bought it for her. Girls and their daddies...I declare...we're pretty tight with those guys, aren't we?

Can someone please explain to me why I'm guaranteed to drop at least one piece of ice every time I get some out of the freezer? I just don't get it. Every single time I get ice out of the freezer, I drop at least one piece. Is it a law of nature of which I'm unaware?

Oooh, oooh, oooh - I found out the other day that Elizabeth Jane has ACHOO Syndrome. How funny is that?! She sneezes three times when she goes into bright sunlight - every time. She's done it since she was a baby. I'm not sure who she gets it from since neither Brad nor I do it and they say it is a dominant gene trait.

Apparently this Michelob Ultra has gone straight to my fingers.

Congrats on the weight after the baby.. I'm still working on my baby weight LOL. My DD is on Zantac and has been since she was 5 weeks old, she is now almost 10 months. Reflux is some crazy stuff. Let me know if you have any questions about it. *Love the ice from the freezer comment too*
