Sunday afternoon we had a cookout at church. Brad was the head griller - so I was inside with the kids. First of all, a HUGE thank you to Alyssa R. who loved on Harrison and watched over him while I dealt with the sisters. And thank you to Hannah S. who fixed Annie's plate and was surprised she wanted onion (I'd forgotten to tell her Annie is my onion eater - raw, white onions - the girl loves them!)
So, I fixed Nin some dessert. She chose "Dirt with Gummy Worms" and homemade banana pudding. She took a bite of one of them and said, "Oh man! This food is so good! I wish I could marry it!!!"
I said, "Nin, you can't love food that much. That's gluttony."
She asked, "What is gluttony?"
I replied, "When you love food more than you love God."
She said, "Mommy! God is my favorite person. This is my favorite food." (as in, "Come on, Mom...get with the program here")
