Sunshine Party

Nin has decided that she wants to have a "sunshine party" rather than a High School Musical party. That was a big surprise to me because my little girlfriend loves HSM like you can't imagine! But I loved her idea and it so fits her personality. I went through all my pcCrafter clip art to see what I had that would go with her idea of a sunshine theme. I found several suns and showed them to Brad, "Which do you like best?" He chose one and it was the one I liked best, too. The next day I showed them to Nin, "Which one do you like best?" She pointed to one and I thought it was the same one Brad and I had chosen. When I pasted it into the Word document she said, "No, Mommy, that's no the right one. I yike the one with pretty yips." (yes, I plan on talking to the ped about her inability to pronounce her Ls) I couldn't help but laugh. Brad and I both had said, "I like this one better but that one fits Nin's personality better." The one that we felt fit Nin's personality? The one with the pretty "yips" - the one on the invite. :)

Today I printed them, printed the envelopes (same sunshine clip art with the return address) and got everything ready to make the invites. I think they're pretty cute, even if I did make them myself. :)

After I'd made a few Brad came over to check them out. He proclaimed them cute and said, "Hey, can you do this as a job?" Sure, in all my copious spare time, sweetie. "Well, they're cute and I think you should see if people will pay you to do their invitations." Sure, in all my copious spare time... Yeah, it'd be fun (say it with me now) in all my copious spare time.

On another note: a conversation between me and my girls that took place this afternoon and made me giggle...
Nin: Mommy, if I pray to God does He hear me?
Me: Yes, Nin, He does.
Nin (praying): Dear God, please give us three more babies. Mommy, I asked God to give us three more babies!
Me: I heard you! That's a lot of babies!
Elizabeth: NinNin, you know that Dr. Wendel fixed Mommy so that she can't have any more babies. Stop asking God to unfix her.
I had to explain that Dr. Wendel "fixed" Mommy because it would be unhealthy for me to have any more babies - not because we don't want any more babies.
