Photo-filled blog - would that make this a 'phlog'?

I warned you last week that I was going to do this! ;) By the way, I tried all my network cables (the ones with RJ45 connectors on the end) and all of them get my computer onto the internet if I bypass my router. I tried everything to get the darned router to connect - nothing happened. I hate hardware, I hate networking (I'm an applications girl). I'm tempted to buy a new router and see if that solves the problem. I have $50 in Amazon gift certificates and this same router is on sale at Amazon for something like $56. Anyway... on to pictures...

This is the birth sampler my friend Darla stitched for him. I've cloned out our last name for a little more privacy...
Isn't it beautiful?! I found out earlier this week that there are a couple of things used in all four of the samplers - the pearl beads and the floss (Waterlilies "Pearl" - used for the alpha and a band above the alphabet).

Here are some close-ups of the piece:
...The top section

...The center section

...The bottom section. I'm telling you, the photos absolutely do not do this piece justice. It is so beautiful!! I'll hunt down photos of the girls' samplers and post them later -- too many photos to go through to try to do it now.
