High School Musical on Ice

Got an email from my cousin on Friday saying that her place of employment had a load of tickets for High School Musical on Ice and asked if anyone wanted any (she sent it to our family). We had decided that since we're going to see the in-laws soon we wouldn't do HSM on Ice. Katherine had been asking to go and we said, "No, we're going to Grammie & PawPaw's." She never whined or complained that we weren't going. So, when Angela emailed with free tickets I called Brad - Katherine had just asked again if we were going (she wasn't nagging about it, she just didn't remember that she'd asked a couple of weeks ago). We decided that we'd take Angela up on the offer. I called her to see how many we could get. She said, "I have 41 and there's no way I'm going to get rid of them all before I leave for the day." Forty-one?! Okay, then, I'll take 8 and not feel like I'm being greedy. :) She said to call if I needed more.

Our friends Dave & Millie and their girls went with us. Elizabeth, Nin and Annie love their girls. E & S are just enough older than our girls to be thought of as "BIG GIRLS" - they're almost 9 and almost 7. I called some other friends to see if they wanted to go - if they did, I would've called and gotten more tickets. They couldn't go, though - bummer. Dave & Millie's girls haven't even seen the movies - well, they've seen part of the second one - but they were thrilled when they found out we were going.

It was a decent show - featured the songs from each of the HSM movies plus a couple of extras written just for the ice show. Nin told me later that "Troy looked funny" so I had to explain that Zac Effron did not skate in the show. The girls loved it, my girls (and I) sang along through the show. It was a fun activity for the afternoon, though now I have hyped-up overly-tired children...blech!! Have to go try to calm them.

That looks really fun! And free to boot? Sounds just about perfect. :)

I bet that it was loads of fun! My kids would have all loved to see it! We've gone to a couple of the Disney Ice shows when we were able to get the kids free tickets through a library reading program. They didn't do it this year though :( The Finding Nemo show was here in town this weekend.

You should've called us - Natalie and Nathan are totally into HSM. I know your girls had a blast.
