Snow...in March

I would say "It never snows in Arkansas in March" but I know for a fact it has before. On March 3, 1989 - exactly one year before I got married - it was sleeting and snowing as we called Brad's family to share our exciting engagement news. Other than that, the latest snow I remember was April 15, 1980 - I was in 9th grade and I believe it was a Sunday.

So, anyway - it snowed here on Friday. Annie was napping so Brad took the two big girls outside to play. They were so excited. They played with our next-door neighbor, built a snowman, and got very cold and very wet. When they came inside, they were just wailing because they were so cold and wet. I turned on the heater in the bathroom and drew them a warm bath telling them that when you're chilled to the bone nothing will warm you up like a bath. After their bath they put on fleece PJs and I fixed them hot cocoa - all was right with the world.

Of course - photos:

Ah! Finally!! We're outside in the snow!!!!!

I am SOOOOO jealous... we didn't get any snow this whole winter. My kids watch the weather channel and get so mad when ya'll get snow! Guess I'm going to have to visit in March next year. See ya, Vicki
