General stuff

Brad's co-workers had a baby shower for him yesterday afternoon - such sweet people. We got diapers, diapers, diapers (yay!) and lots of wipes plus bibs and towels and some other stuff. It's nice to have some *boy* bibs and towels. Poor little Harrison - I wouldn't use baby towels for him because all of ours are pink! tee-hee

Elizabeth got into the van at preschool today and her teacher said, "Did you show your Mom what you got today?" I asked her what she got and she showed me her sunglasses and a bunch of bracelets. "Oh, wow! What did you get those for?!" Ms. Heather said, "Today they got their gifts for having their names on the Wall of Kindness. Elizabeth got an extra gift because she had her name on the Wall the most times." She also got a "Certificate of Kindness" which is hanging on our refrigerator. I was glad to know that she is a kind child at school. I know she is sweet and tender - though she does have her moments at home with her younger sisters where I have to remind her to be kind.

Harrison and I went to WalMart tonight and spent more money than should be legal; but, we were down to stems and seeds in the kitchen so I was basically restocking in addition to buying meat for dinner next week. I was trying to steer a really full cart with one hand, which was interesting to say the least. Checking out was just...ugh...but one of the WalMart associates pushed the cart out to the van and started unloading the cart for me. I told him I just needed to put the baby in his car seat and I could unload - he stayed out there with me (and worked on unloading more) while I was putting Harrison in his car seat. I thought that was nice of him to do. He should get a Certificate of Kindness. ;)

I think Brad should get a certificate of Kindness for what he did for me the other night at the concert. Did he tell you? I am sure that Elizabeth has learned her kindness from you BOTH!

The wal-mart guy should get a certificate of kindness. I have been there numberous times and have wheeled out two carts full by myself. :( No kind young man for me.

I think you hit the Wal-mart lottery with the helpful associate. Sometimes great things (and people) come along just when we need them. :)

WOW! I can't imagine anybody at our Walmart doing that! Is Mr. H. getting any better with the car seat?

WTG Elizabeth! That's a wonderful thing to hear about your child. :)
