And this would be why they typically limit c-sections

If you've suffered through read any of Harrison's birth story, you know that my c-section was tough.

I went about 48 hours cath-free before getting Foley version 5.0 in L&D at the hospital on Wednesday morning. My OB reviewed my case with several other GYNs and urologists. All but one of them felt that I needed another week with a cath - the other one felt he could send me home without it. He agreed with the majority so I have a cath until next Thursday, at which point we'll be almost three weeks post-op and things *should* be working correctly. Hopefully they will be.

We also discussed some other issues that I'm dealing with and worked out a plan to deal with them. But, just dealing with the retention issues helped me significantly. Everything else has resolved as well. Now, if we can just get my bladder working - life would be a lot better. A lot!

And yes, you read that correctly - I was recathed in Labor and Delivery.  When I called Paul's office, Debbie called me back and said, "Meet Dr. Wendel at the hospital. He's waiting on you."  Stephanie (his APN) came into the triage room and said, "He is really worried about you." Yeah, yeah.  "No, he is really worried. Your case has been in front of multiple physicians in this hospital. He's worried."  Sweet man.  This would be why he delivers all the Egglets.  He's the best doctor on the planet and genuinely cares about his patients.
