Jo is now out of ICU and in a private room. I went to see her this afternoon for a few minutes and to take her a big teddy bear head that Elizabeth had painted at preschool (it was *so* cute - and she wanted JoJo to have it). Her son returned to his home yesterday and her daughter, today.
She was pretty much asleep the entire time I was there (just a few minutes) because she's on Phenergan. She was lucid enough to remember I'd gone to Nashville a couple of weeks ago and to ask about a church friend who had a cornea transplant.
Her kidney function seems to be returning - which is a good thing. Will know more tomorrow after some blood work is done. State teaching hospital - pretty much only residents around the joint yesterday and today and they're only dealing with urgent issues.
I'll go back to visit her...um, probably Thursday evening.

So glad to hear your friend is doing better. I hope she continues to improve and is doing much better soon. :)
