Precious in the sight of the Lord

My grandmother passed away this morning. The Psalmist says "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints." I looked up 'precious' to see what Mr. Webster had to say about it. The first two definitions are:
1 : of great value or high price precious jewels
2 : highly esteemed or cherished precious friend


I take great comfort in knowing that my grandmother is now in a much better place. She was a woman who loved God, loved her family and served both with joy. My uncle called my Daddy this morning from Grandma's room. He held the phone to her ear so Daddy could talk to her. About three minutes later, he called to tell Daddy that Grandma had passed away.

Because of the weather in Oklahoma City, we don't have funeral plans yet.
