Annie has taken her first steps! She did it Monday night and I missed it. I was at my brother-in-law's office. She took 6 or 7 steps from the dollhouse to the end of the sofa. Mark (our next-door-neighbor) backed-up Brad's story so I know he wasn't just pulling my leg. I've spent the past 48 hours trying to get her to do it again - she'll think about it, lift her foot and then drop to all fours and crawl. Goosey girl.

She's in ICU in the hospital in Oklahoma City. My sister, Mom and Dad went over to see her yesterday - she had been listed as hour-by-hour on Monday night but was upgraded on Tuesday. My sister and Dad talked to her and assured her that the NG tube the hospital wanted to put in was *not* life support. They fully believe that she can bounce back from this and be fine. She agreed to allow it and they got it in. Sammie said they told her all about the girls. Silly stories from Christmas (the bike/lip gloss story) and about Annie taking her first steps. I'm hopeful that she'll recover so we can take the girls to meet her. Even better if she recovers enough for us to get her here!
