Backwards Night

First off...another digital page that I'm sharing because I really love the photo. The photo is of Elizabeth and my oldest nephew at E's birthday party on Saturday. As you can tell, she adores her cousin (she adores all her cousins, but especially the two boy cousins). D is so sweet to Elizabeth. He's almost 12, but he always plays with her, Nin and Annie. E wanted to ride her bike at mom's because the driveway is perfect for her -- long and flat. Very flat (as you can tell) that's the nice thing about living in the middle of Central Arkansas farm-land. Yes, the kit is Comfy Jeans (can you tell I'm loving it?) by Traci Reed. Felt flourish on the tag is by Amanda Rockwell (Sweet Shoppe Designs). Font for journaling is Suzy's Hand. This is the Princess Bike that E got for Christmas - the one she was supposed to rave about to her Mimi, but instead she raved about Lip Gloss. Yes, this is THE bike.

Now, about Backwards Night. For months the girls have been asking to do this since we saw it on Little Bear (only I think it was Opposites Day on Little Bear and can I just say, I love Little Bear, absolutely love it!). Sometimes Nin will put her clothes on backward and say "I want to have a bact-werds party today" and I cannot for the life of me convince her that her clothes need to go on correctly. Eh, not a battle worth fighting most days. I digress...we elected to do Backwards Night tonight and didn't tell the girls until we headed to Cold Stone Creamery. We'd gotten the birthday club coupon for E, so we decided to have a treat. Brad came home from work, we went out to do some returning/shopping/looking and as we checked out at Target I told Elizabeth "It's Backwards Day! Let's go have dessert!" Got the kids a Kiddie Cup at Cold Stone (strawberry with rainbow sprinkles for the birthday girl; "bee-nilla" with rainbow sprinkles for the UnBirthday girl) and I got the "Love It" from the birthday club - Caramel Turtle Temptation. Yum-MO!!! Annie had some of mine, a wee bit of Elizabeth's and a lick of Nin's spoon. Nin was NOT sharing her ice cream with anyone but me since I shared some of mine with her. We left there and then had a light dinner. The girls loved it. Elizabeth wants to do it every day. Um, no way love!!

that sounds like so much fun! hannah is starting to get into backwards and forwards so we'll have to do this sometime!

and my favorite pre-milk-allergy coldstone treat is a mixture of mocha & amaretto ice creams with macadamia nuts in a waffle cone. YUM!!!!
