Harrison was so funny. As I got baskets ready Saturday evening, he stood at the table beside me, “What’s that, Mommy? Who is that for? Ooooh, sunglasses?! For me?! Can I have some of that candy? I want the blue one, okay?” And then, once the baskets were done and in place he spent the next several hours, “Hey, Mommy, when’s that silly Easter Bunny coming? Do I need to let the Easter Bunny in the door? I don’t want the Easter Bunny to come.” I tell ya, the boy is so blonde!! I replied, “Harrison, you just helped me put the baskets together. You and Mommy were the Easter Bunny!” He didn’t get it. Silly boy. It was fun.
My sister took the pictures of us in our Easter finery. You’ll have to wait until I get one of those to see that. They are hilarious, though. Harrison did NOT want to be in the pictures and it’s obvious!
We had a great lunch with our family. My cousin…now that it’s “Facebook official” I can tell…my cousin and her husband just had their 2nd early pregnancy scan and are expecting their first baby in December. Whoo-hooo!!!! This is huge, wonderful, fabulous news. They’ve been trying for so long and this was their third attempt at IVF. We are, obviously, over the moon with excitement for them.

After a delicious lunch (ham, pork tenderloin, all the “fixin’s”), Paw and Boop hid the eggs in the backyard.
We left the kids’ Easter baskets at home (they were still full of goodies) so they had to hunt eggs with Kroger, Fresh Market, and WalMart bags. They didn’t care! Love that shot of Elizabeth sprinting for an egg!

I love Mom’s little white feather tree and the way she decorates it for each holiday. Usually it is sitting on the table in the entry hall; however, today, that table was needed so we’d all have places to sit at lunch!
Tim’s sermon this morning was on the parable of the Prodigal Son (how most know it). Tim’s point was that it is actually the parable of the “two lost sons” – he brought several cultural insights to the sermon that make the parable that much richer. His sermon was excellent and I definitely recommend the time to listen to it! So looking forward to getting to sit under his teaching every week.
Storms moving in again. Praying we all sleep and are kept safe tonight.
