Long time, no update = long update. Get a snack.
I've been lucky to guest on Karah Fredricks' creative team during March and April. Thanks, Jenny, for asking me! (Karah has had "take your friends to work" month for her CT). The first thing I created using Karah's stuff was a skin for my laptop:
I've also done a couple of layouts of the girls with their American Girl dolls. And a layout of me with an old friend from elementary/junior high/high school. I saw him at Cajun's a couple of weeks ago when we had Lions' Night Out. Credits for all the layouts with Karah's stuff can be found here.
Elizabeth has lost another tooth. She wouldn't let anyone pull it. It dangled by a thread for several days. I couldn't bear to look at it without getting totally ooged (the whole loose tooth thing completely ooges me, anyway). Sunday night she wiggled it with her tongue and it wiggled right out. Yay! Love the kit I used. It's Turtle-tastic by Lauren Grier. Perfect for Elizabeth. Full credits here
And on Sunday, we were outside blowing bubbles. I did this layout of Nin using the template from Traci Reed's team blog. Full credits here.
Took Harrison to the pediatrician last Friday. He started running fever on Thursday afternoon and was fussy; plus he had that "I'm sick" look in his eyes (they were flat - no sparkle at all). I don't normally take my kids to the doctor less than 24 hours after a fever starts but I also didn't feel like I had any choice since I was having surgery on Monday. Good thing we went. He had an ear infection in his left ear and she said it looked like his eardrum had ruptured just a little bit (poor waxy kid - she couldn't really see his eardrum even though they'd tried irrigating his ears). He's on antibiotics and wasn't back to his happy self until Tuesday.
I had a minor, outpatient surgery this past Monday. It went well and I didn't get sick in PACU! The CRNA allowed me to refuse Versed, and actually looked relieved when I did. I can't remember what they used to make me sleep but it's something that also has anti-nausea properties and then they used a local for the area where they actually did the surgery. They took me to the OR at about 7:30 and got started about 7:40. I woke up at 8:20, looked at my nurse and said, "Wow. I'm not puking!" At 9:30, we were in the van and on our way home! That, my friends, is a first! My OB had prepared me for a rather painful recovery that wasn't.
Harrison is still nursing. He has taken to putting his foot on my face while he nurses - he wants me to kiss his foot and "bite" his toes. He just giggles the entire time. We're at 13.5 months. Another six weeks and he'll be the longest of my nursers. Honestly, I don't see him weaning soon, but he could fool me. When he gets upset, tired or is sick - that's his comfort. The only time it bothers me is when he treats me like a stand of spaghetti. That's not too fun. ;0) He's such a sweet, sweet boy!
I got a new little point and shoot camera. Love it! It's a Canon Powershot A470 - under $100, which is ideal for throwing in the purse and taking with me when I don't want to haul around the Rebel. It has a movie mode, too, which has been fun to play around with. The photo below (of Nin and Brad) was taken with it.
Today was Pajama Day at preschool. As he did with Elizabeth when she was 3, Brad went with Nin this year (he didn't get to go with either of the girls last year for PJ Day - we were out of town when they did it). They got to watch a movie and have popcorn for a snack. After school, they went to The Purple Cow for lunch where Nin had a purple shake, hot dog and chips. She had a great day!
No Annie update this time because my last entry was about her. She's still a sweet little Tinkerbell mess! :) Love that girl like crazy.

Fun catching up :)
I love your digi scraps - I miss it so much! And Elizabeth is looking so big...that missing tooth stage makes them seem so "big kid" to me *sniff* Ellie's are already grown back in - time flies right by, my friend!
