Nin [standing on 25 lb bag of sugar]
Mommy: Nin, please get off the bag of sugar. You don't need to be standing on it.
Nin [steps off bag]: It weighs 100 pounds.
Mommy: No, it weighs 25 pounds when it is full. [Note: as much baking as I do, we found it easier and more economical to buy sugar at Sam's Club]
Nin: Then why does it say 100?
Mommy: It doesn't. It says it weighs 25 pounds or 11.33 kilograms.
Nin: [points to 100 on the bag] Right there, Mommy. It says 100.
Mommy: Oh! That's because the sugar company has been in business for over 100 years.
Nin: Aren't they tired?
Needless to say, I was stifling the laughter.

I need to blog this stuff more often. I have a friend that keeps a written journal of cute things her kids have said over the years. Now that they are older (8-14ish) she treasures it so much!
