Crashes, Milestones, Cubbie

In mid-February I ordered a Hitachi Travelstar hard drive for my laptop.  I figured it's an IBM, surely it will be a decent product.  I received the new HDD on February 16 and installed it that day.  Last Friday, exactly two months to the day that the HDD was installed, it crashed.  Bad sectors. Windows is freaking out, warning me to do an immediate back up.  I try to do a backup onto the EHD. It won't back up, too many bad sectors (thanks, Windows)  I have a backup on Mozy, thankfully, and this time my .pst file is there...but it's practically empty so I'm not sure that matters now, anyway.  I was just hoping to have a good backup HERE.  Wearying. I'm ready for a Mac (I can't believe I just said that...but I did).  I do have Windows 7 waiting on me to install once the new HDD gets here.

In other news...Elizabeth has learned to ride her bike without wheels!  She was so excited. Yesterday afternoon she asked Brad to take the wheels off her bike. He did and Annie came running in to me (I was working) "Mommy! Mommy! Quick! Come outside! Elizabeth is riding her bike with no training wheels!!"  I grabbed my camera and ran outside. Sure enough, there was E - grinning like crazy and riding her bike with no training wheels!  Brad said, "I took her training wheels off, she hopped on and took off!!! I didn't have to do anything!"  Elizabeth rode up and down our little cul-de-saq - even the slight hill didn't bother her.  She stood up and pedaled hard...grinning the whole while. I told my mom that I really think having a Razor scooter has helped her with her balance - and that's why she didn't need her Daddy to hold her bike and run along side her. Here she is:

Annie got to bring Cubbie Bear home on Wednesday night.  She's so cute with him!
