Here is Love

We sang this Sunday during worship at church.  Well, I sobbed through it and people around me sang.  After a Sunday School lesson on the discipline of the Lord (from Hebrews 13, I'll link you to it as soon as it is posted...it was awesome...in my head I'm sing-songing that word like Annie does) anyway, after Todd's lesson on how we should react to the discipline of the Lord, singing during the worship service was almost more than I could bear.

Lyrics by William Rees

Here is love wide as the ocean
Loving kindness as a flood
When the Prince of Life, our ransom
Shed for us His precious blood
Who His love will not remember?
Who can cease to sing His praise?
He can never be forgotten
Throughout Heaven’s eternal days

On the mount of crucifixion
Fountains opened deep and wide
Through the floodgates of God’s mercy
Flowed a vast and gracious tide
Grace and love like mighty rivers
Poured incessant from above
And Heaven’s peace and perfect justice
Kissed a guilty world in love
(And I say, "Thank you, Lord!!!!")

Oh how marvelous, oh how glorious
Is my Savior’s love for me!
Oh how marvelous, oh how glorious
Is my Savior’s love for me!

Of Your fullness You are pouring
Your great love on me anew
Without measure, full and boundless
Drawing out my heart to You
You alone will be my glory
Nothing in the world I see
You have cleansed and sanctified me
You Yourself have set me free
Amazing.  Absolutely, quite simply a.mazing.  Humbling. Awe-inspiring.
