Elizabeth Jane is standing here next to me singing Amazing Grace. It's so sweet to hear her singing these wonderful hymns. It's also funny. I remember when she was born. I heard this deep, raspy cry from the other side of the drape and I said to Brad, "Oh, yay! She's an alto!" Well, if anyone ever had any doubt - all they had to do was hear her sing just now. I don't know of any little *boys* who sing this low! When I sing with Katherine, I always have to start the song high (translation: it gets out of my range pretty quickly). When I sing with Elizabeth, I'm singing with my little clone.
Annie is starting to talk quite a bit. She just came to me "uh nack" and points to the kitchen. "You want a snack?" She smiles and nods, pushes the computer and says "Moan" (come on). I'm about to start dinner, Bitsy. No one panic at that sentence. Brad is out for the evening, if i don't make dinner, we starve. ;) Back to Annie. Her pink blanket is "Mimi" (so is my sister). She loves Doorda (Dora) and Boo (Boots). She also loves Boo (Boop - my mother) and Mammie (Grammie - Brad's mom). She actually said "I yuh you" (I love you) to my mother-in-law while we were there a couple of weeks ago. I got, "Mama, I cuh uh! I cuh uh, Mama!" from her - which translated is: "Mama, I come up! I come up, Mama!" after I told her to quit playing on the stairs to the basement (which she'd already fallen down!!! Thankfully she didn't get hurt). She was at the bottom of the stairs and I told her "Come up here!" She grinned and after telling me she was coming up, she did just that.
Katherine is finally getting over her cold, I think. She's not felt great for a couple of weeks; but she's still sweet - most of the time. She's been having some major meltdowns that we're trying to work through and help her with. Her favorite song lately has been "Albuquerque is a turkey" along with "Lord I Lift Your Name on High" - a huge spread in taste there! Silly thing!
They are such sweethearts. I'm blessed beyond measure to have them!
