Elbows, Ears, Mouths, Noses and Babies

All three little people are on antibiotics for ear infections (two right ears and one left), Motrin and Tylenol for the pain, Dimetapp for the clogged up head - and the two big girls are on prescription cough syrup for their cough. Dadgum summer colds. Pffffft.

Had to take E to the family practice clinic to have her elbow popped back into place. Nursemaid's elbow. On Sunday morning a friend of mine, who is a nurse, showed me how I could take care of it at home should it happen again. Unlike most people who visit the doctor constantly during the winter, we go during the summer.

On another, most happy note, I got an email from a friend of mine who lives in another state. She and her husband have been on a waiting list to get a baby for 2 1/2 years (they are going through a private adoption agency). Finally, a young couple has selected them to be the parents of their baby boy. The baby is due in October. Of course the parents could change their minds at any point but I'm hoping and praying they don't change their minds. This couple has waited soooo long and they'll be such wonderful parents. And I might finally get my friend back. She's struggled even talking to me since my girls have been born. :( That would just be the sprinkles on the icing on the cake. ;)

I hope your little ones start feeling better soon, Gina! It's a bummer to all be ailing at once!

doesn't sound like a fun week at your house :( I hope things get better soon!
Brenna had nursemaids elbow about a year ago when she started throwing all of the temper tantrums; talk about something making you feel like a bad mother :sigh:

I hope everything with the adoption goes smoothly.
