Start spreading the news

I'm leaving tomorrow for New York City and am looking forward to it. I've received the agenda and it looks like the meetings are going to be very interesting.

What is with Rescue Me? Janet and Tommy - very weird.

Baby book notes: Annie is now pulling up -- yes, to her feet. Yes, she's only 6.5 months old. Yes, I want her to be my baby longer, but darn if she isn't the cutest thing standing there in her crib. And she's so proud of herself! She's crawling all over the house and will actually "look" for her sisters if they leave the family room.

Katherine has turned into this little Southern belle. Many of her words have extra syllables added. "Mommy, what's thay-uht" (that) "My not want to take a nay-yup" (nap) . I don't know where she picked it up, but it's the funniest thing ever.

As I was packing my suitcase this afternoon, Elizabeth saw my PJs. "Mommy, why are you taking PJs to New York?"
"So I'll have something to sleep in." A panicked look enters her eyes and it dawns on her, I'm going away.
She tears up, "But, Mommy, I don't want you to go. I want you to stay here with me."
"Sweetie, Mommy has to go to New York for a few days. You will have Daddy and Boop and Bippie and NinNin and Annie. Daddy will need your help with Annie. And Mommy plans to come home on Sunday. Mommy always plans to come home." Yes, I want to say "Mommy always comes home" -- but what if, God forbid, something happens and I don't come home? I want her to know that it is always my plan to come back to her. It is always my plan.

Wow..pulling up already! That's crazy!!! I hope you had fun on your trip! How cute is the southern Belle.. now the speech pathologist in me will tell you not to worry about it, she's just getting used to multisyllable words :)
