Miscellany

1. I got a call from the manager of the Wal-Mart store where I bought the pregnancy test and was wished "good luck" by the cashier. She said she would address it with all their cashiers and apologized that I was offended. Nice of her to call.

2. Katherine has two more teeth. Her two top front teeth have broken through the gum. She ought to be sleeping better soon! She's so cute!! She's also waving bye-bye, trying to say "night-night," definitely saying "Dada," clapping for herself, doing Pat-a-cake, playing Peek-a-boo, crawling on all fours rather than doing the commando thing, and giving those wonderfully sweet open-mouth baby kisses. Have I mentioned how cute she is? And sweet, too. And she's a climber. I've got ANOTHER climber!

3. Elizabeth Jane just makes me laugh more and more each day. Her vocabulary is growing by leaps and bounds. We played outside one day last week with our next-door-neighbor. As soon as E saw Carson, she took off across the yard, "Carson! Carson! Hi! Come pway!" She was so happy. "Thank you, God! Someone besides my mother to play with me!" I'll be in the kitchen and will call to her if she's in her room and I'll hear, "I am coming, Mommy!" She's so good to say "thank you" without prompting. "Please" takes a little prompting but not much. Now we're working on "yes sir/ma'am" and "no sir/ma'am." She loves to "nuggle" with me in bed first thing in the morning -- which reminds me of when she was a baby and we did that each morning. And prissy. Oh, man is this child prissy. She has a pair of toy "dress up" shoes that used to be Lauren's. She loves to put them on and clomp around the house. She changes clothes at least three times a day -- usually into another gown or PJs, even after I've put her in her "real" clothes. She loves wearing gowns and dresses. Or her little blue cloud man-style PJs (which she looks ADORABLE in).

Pictures I need to get:
Nin crawling
Nin climbing
Elizabeth in the blue PJs
Elizabeth in the dress-up shoes
Something of the two of them together, I have very, very few!!!

They grow so fast. I was thinking last night how Colby Grace is starting to become a real toddler!

Glad to hear that your little ones are taking off too!

Glad to hear on the WalMart thing. Hubby works for them, and he said that he would have had chat with checkers and call. Glad they did the same thing.
