More on being served

Have I ever mentioned how much I love our Care Group at church? If not, well, I have been lax in doing so. (which reminds me...I have a picture of all of us that I need to scrap). We have been members of this care group since it began in...1993, earlier than that? Janet, when did you and Skip get married? There was about a year when we didn't go regularly because of kids' bedtimes - but still we remained close to the couples who are members.

We have rallied around members who have dealt with issues in their marriages, have had difficult times in their lives (death of a child, illness of parents, financial difficulties for members, etc), and as members have had children (and had children, and had children, and had children -- I think we counted once and there are more than 50 children represented in our Care Group). Now it is our turn to be loved by our Care Group - twice a week they are dropping off freezer meals for us to try to take some of the load off of Brad and me as we deal with this pregnancy. This morning at church people were asking "how are you?" Well, I'm awake and upright - that is saying something!

However, I'm about to be horizontal and asleep -- it's nap time since we are going to try to go to Care Group tonight.

Oh, Gina!

I can just hear you saying, "Well, I'm awake and upright!" And I am missing it! We miss you guys. I am so glad to hear how faithful your care group has been to you guys.
