Blood draw scheduled

After spending all day today in a panic - and having a couple of panic attacks - I decided that I needed to talk to *someone* who had a clearer head than I did. I called Hannah who patiently listened to me sob, talked to me, prayed for me, read me Psalm 121, and told me several times "call your doctor".

I called his office and talked to Debbie - I'm going in first thing Friday morning to have a beta hCG drawn. The results will be back Friday afternoon and will determine if I'm okay until my appointment on 7/26 or if I have to go back on Monday. If I have to go back on Monday then we'll be trying to determine (a) are the levels doubling like they're supposed to and if so, then we're in relatively good shape or (b) are the levels dropping and if so, then we just wait for the inevitable.

Gina, I'm thinking about you!!

I think the blood draw is a good idea, and in fact think you should have it Monday too to see those numbers for sure, not just settling for one number.

No matter how you feel, really, you will want that ultrasound and it can't come fast enough, I know. Any thought to having the lab or doc do a more invasive ultrasound? They can see more earlier than the trans-abdominal ones. My uterus is tipped and we can't see anything at 7 weeks, which always just caused me to worry more, but I know a gal who has seen the heart beat at 7 weeks.

I'm thinking about you!
